![]() ![]() It has a reason to exist.Ĭrossguard is the boss killer stance. the entire game can be cleanly won with this stance alone.ĭouble-Blade is the AoE CC stance and you'd only use it in that situation but that's the point. No pointed advantages, but no disadvantages either. Single blade has a god tier gap closer move, has a guaranteed stagger move and does good enough damage to stand on it's own as the 'most balanced' stance. All the other stances have a very pointed benefit or reason to switch to them. Of course this is just my opinion but I think I've covered it off. at this point you're better off switching to either single blade or blaster stance to take out ranged attackers. It has no gap closer move like the single blade so you basically have to rely on Force Push or Pull. it's horrendous against ranged attackers. Which brings me to the last problem of the stance. It's too unreliable in general and the counter move itself has no i-frames, so unless you're in a situation where all your targets are close to you, the move is worthless as a stray blaster bolt can knock you out of it. Next, it's Force attack (heavy attack) is a counter that only works on "MOST" things, not all things. as a crowd control stance you may as well use double-blade, there is no reason to use DW for crowd control. Double-bladed at least has the benefit of being full 360 AoE that you can bust out whenever. It's also a weaker AoE version of the double-bladed stance. ![]() and it has no move that can create stagger, which. ![]() but this game does not do that so, your chances to use the most powerful move are severely limited to chances you create yourself. these 'delay' combos work fine in a game like Devil May Cry where the hit actually will stagger the enemy allowing you to insert it. DW has high speed and power, but low to nonexistent poise damage and it's most powerful move requires you to insert a delay after the first attack. ![]()
